Venkatesh Shukla’s Visit to Raipur: Discussion on Startup Ecosystem and TiE Raipur Chapter
Renowned entrepreneur and venture capitalist Venkatesh Shukla recently visited Raipur. During his visit, he met with the Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation and the city’s young entrepreneurs. The main purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Raipur and discuss the opening of the TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Raipur Chapter.
Venkatesh Shukla appreciated the efforts of the Municipal Corporation’s co-working center and its initiatives to promote startups. He praised the work being done to support entrepreneurs and interacted with Raipur’s youth, learning about their ideas. He emphasized the need for establishing the TiE Raipur Chapter to provide more opportunities for the local youth and startups.
TiE, a global non-profit organization, aims to foster entrepreneurship by offering mentorship, networking, education, funding, and incubation to startups worldwide. Venkatesh Shukla, who is the former president of TiE Silicon Valley, has helped numerous startups achieve success through the organization’s support.
Having played a pivotal role in formulating the Startup India Policy and working closely with the central government, Venkatesh Shukla shared his experience of promoting entrepreneurship in cities like Raipur. He believes that the TiE Raipur Chapter will offer local entrepreneurs the opportunity to connect with a global network and accelerate the growth of their startups through the support of investors, mentors, and advisors.
Shukla’s visit could prove to be a significant step for Raipur’s startups, potentially giving the city a new identity on both the national and international stages.
